Academics
At Teremok, children learn through exploration, conversation, creativity and play in both Russian and English. Our bilingual preschool curriculum combines language immersion with early literacy, math, STEAM, art, music, movement and social-emotional development to build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond.

Separate coursework for different age groups is designed to ensure age-appropriate learning experiences, effectively educate students with the fundamental building blocks of early childhood education and empower them with preparatory foundations for future academic success.

Daily Schedule
Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Morning Routine: Arrival, free play, and breakfast.

Circle Time: Interactive and collaborative group activities & snack.

Learning Centers: Academic lessons (literacy, math, science, etc.).

Outdoor Play: Physical activities and exploration.

Lunch and Rest Time: Hot lunch & 2-hour nap time.

Afternoon Activities: Snack & cultural immersion activities (story-time, poetry, music, dance, etc.).

Dismissal: End-of-day routine and parent pick-up.

How Russian-English Immersion Works
Early childhood is a unique period for language development. During this time, the brain is particularly receptive to the sounds, rhythms, and structures of speech. Language is not learned as a school subject, but is acquired naturally through play, interaction, and everyday communication.
When a child regularly hears two languages in a warm, speech-rich environment, their brain does not “conflict,” but learns to distinguish and organize both language systems. Research shows that children are capable of distinguishing between two languages even at a young age if they hear them regularly and in various contexts.
